Frequently Asked Questions
Lash Extensions
How long do lash extensions last?
Lash extensions typically last 2–3 weeks before needing a fill. Natural lash shedding will cause extensions to fall out over time.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not when applied correctly! At Atlanta Beauty Designer, we prioritize lash health using safe techniques, proper isolation, and lightweight lashes tailored to your natural lashes.
Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
It’s not recommended—especially waterproof mascara. It can weaken the adhesive and cause premature fallout.
Can I get lash extensions wet?
Absolutely! The main ingredient in lash adhesive is cyanoacrylate and it’s cured by moisture in the air (aka. WATER!) – you can even get into water right after getting eyelash extensions!
What’s the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume lashes?
- Classic: One extension per natural lash (natural look)
- Hybrid: A mix of classic and volume (textured look)
- Volume: Multiple lightweight lashes per natural lash (fuller, fluffier look)
Keratin Lash Lift
What is a keratin lash lift?
A keratin lash lift enhances your natural lashes by lifting and curling them upward, making them appear longer and more defined—like a perm for your lashes with added nourishment.
How long does a lash lift last?
Typically 6–8 weeks, depending on your lash growth cycle and aftercare.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
Yes! You can wear mascara after 24 hours, though many clients find they don’t need it.
Is it safe for sensitive eyes?
Yes, we use high-quality products suitable for sensitive clients. A patch test can be done upon request.
Can I combine a lash lift with tinting?
Absolutely! Tinting adds depth and color to your lashes, enhancing the lift even more.
Brow Lamination
What is brow lamination?
It’s a treatment that smooths and sets brow hairs in a desired shape—giving a fuller, more polished look that lasts for weeks.
How long does brow lamination last?
Results typically last 4–6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle and skincare routine.
Can I still fill in my brows with makeup?
Yes, but most clients find they need way less (or none at all) after lamination.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Yes, though we avoid doing lamination on freshly waxed or irritated skin. A patch test is also available if you’re concerned about sensitivity.
Can I combine brow lamination with tinting or waxing?
Yes! A full brow makeover with lamination, tinting, and shaping gives the best results and definition
